Recently bought a 98 900rr for cheap from a guy and its not complete. I found out that he started to put a front end on it from a 00 929rr. so after buying calipers for a 900rr i realized that they dont work due to mounting since the 929rr are inverted forks. the wheel is the factory 16" from the 900 as are the rotors. I am wondering should I get the 900rr forks and just go back to original or find the right calipers and get rotors from a 929? i am sure the newer inverted forks are better but its gonna be more of a pain in the ass to go that route. What would you do?

You can still mount them but you'll need to space or modify them to fit, or fabricate some caliper mounting brackets.
Get a 929/954/1000RR wheel, 929/954 discs and 929/954/F4i/RC51 calipers.
