hahaha... now that I have your attention; I see that some folks "name" their motorcycles, snowmobiles, cars, trucks, boats, jetskis, or what-have-you. Thought this would be a neat idea for a (postwhore) thread, to post the name(s) of your stuff (feel free to post images as well) and WHY you chose to name her/him. The only thing of mine that's named is my snowmobile "James", because it's a "007 Edition" from Skidoo. Your turn...

The only bike I had that had a real name that stuck and everyone acknowledged the name was my 1994 KLR 650. I bought the bike for $1200 and after I began to go through it, I noticed that the previous owner jerry rigged a lot of thing to just make it work to sell. The first few weeks of riding it things kept breaking and I added more jerry rigs to get the bike to run. After a month or so I began calling the bike Jerry. The people in my inner circle knew all the problems the bike was having so they called it Jerry also. I finally decided to invest in the time to repair everything that was wrong with Jerry and she ran solid until I sold her.

ive never named a bike or car n dont typically refer to them as a him or her.

i have a friend that has an aprilia tuono thats in less than perfect condition shall we say. things tend to fall off it. lol he named it Vegas because every time he takes it out its a gamble if itll make it home or not.

another friend bought a gsxr track bike from a guy that had been sitting a while n needed some work. it was a nice bike overall really and he made quick work of bringing it back. when he first got it home it had a seriously offensive odor. turned out to have had a rather large puddle of pee in the belly pan? lol now its known as "stinky."

Well I have names for everything I own.... (Is that weird??...)

Wellp the Green Machine (used to be the Boom Box but I took the 100lb subwoofer out...)

Then there is Leslie, my babyyy...

Then there is my first bike, Blue Beast. (A friend had the same bike, he called it the Blue Dildo. I think his name perfectly; huge, blue, and shaped as such...)

Leslie is hawwt ;)

Well, we just sold our sleds, and I brought "The New Kid" home. Not a fan of the LEDs (and a few other things the PO did), but it'll be up on the lift as early as tomorrow morning, and some changes will be made :shades:

that would be a MAP, Mr.Doohan :D

well... since you've been buggin' the EFF outta me about it since before I even brought The New Kid home... (and since I started this thread)...

Before, Before, & After:
Robbed the grey 954's spare stock tail, seats, Hindle can, exhaust hanger, rims, and a spare front fender. Ditched the passenger pegs, and UNbeknownst to me, it came with a Scott's (OHLINS) steering damper, that I'd been coveting for year & years & years, but never could justify the $400+ expense. That and the chrome (aftermarket) rims are on the grey one. I'll be looking for another set of OEM 954/929 rims soon... the chrome is flaking, and I'm not a fan anyway. Other than returning it to stock length, I think I'll remove the "RR" & "HONDA" decals, (replace the small missing decals on the nose) leaving the WING as the only red accent :shades:

:thumb:007 never needed a map, or viagra. Sure looks like fun though, I've ridden my share of cool toys on land and sea, but still haven't tried a snowmobile.

I'd offer, but they're gone now :(

...and James Bond never had to live on a budget... especially with a snowmobile that only gets 8-10 mpgs :p
