Hi All,

Im looking to service my CBR 954 03 Model can you recommend a good mechanic for this bike in Sydney Metro. I'm told my next service at 36,000 is minor and my major is at 48,000.

So my questions are:

Who did your service?
How much was charged for 36 & 48kms?
How do you rate the mechanic.

I believe the best mechanic would be yours truely.

Minor services every 3000 miles or so (oil/filter)... Major (i.e. tappets/valves) would be done at 16,000 miles (25600KMS).

How many miles has your 954RR done?

I'm with Twincam, if you want it done right do it yourself.
Get the manual, be patient, ask questions.

And who does the service thats needed by the time you get back?


Its nice to say the best service is yourself, but not everyone is that mechanical, trained or have the right tools or the space and time.
You hear plenty of stories of people messing up - so in many cases the worst mechanic is the owner!

I have one mate that should be banned from ever touching tools!
