Not sure on the fitment, by what makes you want to switch to the 600RR rims? If they are factory rims they should be pretty much the same 17" rims, 3 spoked, and almost identical in weight right?

Well from what I've been able to gather so far.. they will fit but I will have to replace the 600RR wheel bearings with 954 wheel bearings.. so that the 954 axle will go through. I am not sure if the rear wheel would need larger spacers or not.. I was looking at 600RR rims because the cheapest set of chrome wheels I've found so far are from a 05 600RR..

Gotcha, going for the chrome! Could just get your 954 rims chromed, usually not too super expensive, depending on what the 600 rims and converting them would cost you might be able to do it for about the same price, and then you know they fit perfect!

well the cheapest 954 rims ive been able to find are about $600.. As far as I know if all I need is wheel bearings to make the 600RR rims work.. then that would be about $40 dollars in bearings.. and the rims cost about $300

Dang, good price on them. Chroming would certainly be more than that. Just make sure to do your homework on the fitment (although you're already working on that)

Looking at some rims from a 05 CBR 600RR.. Will these fit my 2002 CBR 954?
Thanks

Don't know, but the rear would be a 5.5" wheel instead of the 6".
Check if the 600RR front discs are the same pattern, ideally you want to keep the bolt pattern so you can keep the 330mm discs.

Same scheme as mine, but that CF can looks sooooo much better than the aluminum one on mine IMO. Just not a fan of the shorties, but they add a lot of volume too. What seat you have on there?

Well the 600RR rims come with the rotors already on them.. So if my 954 rotors wont fit.. I am guessing I can just use the 600RR rotors.. Where would I find out if they have the same pattern? lol :idunno:

Yea I love the Winning Red... I plan on painting the air duct covers winning red also.. Sorta how the 06 R1 has blue ram air covers to match the paint. I couldn't get along with that huge pipe man. I had to cut it and remove some of the packing to give the exhaust some bite. that's a Corbin seat.

If the 954 rotors don't fit and you go with the 600 rotors, I would assume there would be more mods needed in order to make the calipers also line up right...

The 600RR has smaller rotors. I just somehow have the feeling the OP wouldn't care, and to save 300 measly $ on buying shitty chrome rims, he would just fit the smaller discs anyway. Then probably delete one brake as well.

This kind of thread makes the baby Jesus cry.

Repeat after me people: Real Bikes Don't Have Chrome. Shoulda bought a harley.

I'm not a fan of chrome on sport bikes myself :thumbd: , but to each his own. I also like the full length pipes despite their quieter tone...

Fitting the 600 discs would certainly require a good bit of modification, and would result in a decrease in stopping power. Better off chroming the original rims if that is the look you want. It might cost you more initially, but the first time someone cuts you off in traffic and you can't stop fast enough it'll pay off.

you kinda remind me of people online who try to tell me how to play call of duty. Like they paid for my game or something. If I want to camp im going to camp. Im not a total squid.. and I also don't judge people on how they want to mod their bike or play their own video game. lol it's cool though.

People have different taste, just cause you want chrome rims, or a shortie pipe does not mean that you need a verbal lashing or to be flamed IMO. Personally neither one is not my style, but best to keep things respectful when voicing an opinion.

Back on topic, I would do everything to keep the bigger discs on my bike. Not for looks, but when you decrease the size you will also decrease stopping power to some degree. As blade pointed out, your rear wheel is also going to shrink a half inch, and you will no longer be running a 190/50 rear, but a 180. Just something else to think about.

Yea Im going to just hold off and wait until some used 954rr rims hit ebay. Its a used set on there but the guy claims the front rim is bent a little and can possibly be fixed. but I don't know about all that.. if a bent rim can be fixed. so Im scared to mess with it.
