So after some serious thought I have decided to weld my HTEV in one position and remove the flapper in order to save future headaches with this bonehead piece of engineering:clap:. My question is.....Mid or Top end? Now when I look at the HTEV the mid range setup makes the most sense for overall performance....straight-through with no crossing of the air flow from top to bottom....just straight through and then into one pipe. The Top End option criss crosses the airflow...seems less efficient to me................. Most of my riding is between 3000 RPMS and 8000 RPMS but there are time where I need the power above 8000 as well :eyebrows:. So i cant imagine I will lose much with the straight through (mid range) position....right? I mean its wide open...no restriction....right? So whats better OVERALL? I obviously want to lose as little as I can in all RPM range, and I know Im already losing bottom end. So...top? or mid?

Ride it in both positions and decide for yourself which you prefer.
Being titanium have you got a price to weld it yet?
I would just lock wire it if you're concerned about it moving.
I rode for months without wiring mine and it never moved.
