i can't seem to find where this connector plugs in. this is the only one that i have left + another power connector for the fuel pump

Mine is the same, I am sure it does not plug into anything.

In my manual it is listed as SERVICE CHECK CONNECTOR.

That is for resetting the warning light when it comes on. you short it out to do it with a hair grip or the like. dont plug anything in

Doesn't give you the error codes on the clocks as per 929?
And no, it doesn't plug into anything.

the gauge cluster is off for now. i'm going to put the tank with the pump back on and fire it up to see if everything is okay. thanks guys.

btw i need to put the little clip on the rear brake. is there a trick to do it? is this the way it supposed to be and then locked with the retainer? thanks

i fired it up and the fuel pump primes but the sound is very weak as if it was struggling ? after the bike runs few mins it dies. i had small oil leak from the cover/gasket so i added a bit of oil (soon will replace filter/oil). any ideas as to why the bike dies, maybe the fuel pump because the priming sound is so weak doesn't supply enough gas? also noticed that when throttle is jerked it sort of doesn't respond to it right away. any help is appreciated. ill try to get sound of the pump priming on here for u guys to hear. thanks

well it turned out that i put too little of a gas that was sitting for a while in the gas container outside. put one gallon of fresh fuel and pump primes fine now and everything runs smooth. still waiting to see some input on that rear brake clip in post #6. thanks
