I'm looking to buy a full carbon one, as the standard can is going nicely white and it's way too quiet for my liking.

Anyone bought one recently for a good price? £540 is about the best I've found that's from biohazard in the US, paying duty and VAT into the UK. Found one in the UK for £570 including delivery.

Anyone seen them for less than $550 stateside?

It's Yoshi part number is 1202202

Cheers

I spent a while looking for one mate, and the cheapest I could find was biohazard.

Tom there was very helpful. If you manage to "avoid" customs you are looking at about £400.

My PayPal wouldn't allow an international sale, and I ended up buying a different slip-on locally at the NEC show.

The Yoshi does look an ace piece of kit though.

Good luck.

Oh, BTW Repper.

If you contact Sal at universal-electronix ( assuming that is the £570 can ) he may knock a bit off if you pay direct so he avoids ebay/PayPal fees. :thumb:

thanks Splatty, well motomummy are coming in cheaper now, got an email out to Tom at Bio to see his best price and wait to hear back.

The UK side of things is getting interesting! ... sounds like Sal has come a cropper with Phoeonix, the uk official Yoshi distributor as he's been importing direct and reselling. Anyway that's the word on the street from a few of the racing outfits here, so I think his current stock will be his last. Anyway he never answers his phone!

Got my PCV down to around £250 including O2 elminator, just waiting to see if the UK can try and get closer on a Yoshi US price match... some of them though! ... well the rrp is £835 and we could give you a 15% discount ... how are these people in business?

I have to say some people are being quite creative to try and get the prices down real low ... it's the recession I guess.

Tell me about it mate. I love the look of the Yoshi, but UK pricing for it WTF ??

I bought a Scorpion in the end, not my first choice, but great looking exhaust. It comes with the heatshield too, which was what attracted me to the Yoshi. Like the plumbing covered up.

List price is £679 for the Scorpion. Discounted at the NEC show, then got them down to £400. Didn't need the PCV as has a replacement cat.

Nice to buy bits over the winter and keep your interest in the bike going whilst not riding.

Let us know how you get on mate and get some pictures.

I'll upload some of mine at the weekend, it's dark when I get home from work now !!

Yeah pics would be good! Will put some up when the operation is complete!

I really need to sort this fireblade over winter. Got two bikes the Daytona 675, which sounds like a jet engine, fantastic... :evilaugh: and er... a lawn mower fireblade that sounds like a pizza delivery scooter in traffic!

Sunrider, got any pics of that pipe, keep thinking the full carbon would look good on the repsol?!

Looks the business, that big oh fat cat convertor can has gotta go now.

Yes, more pics, audio, dyno charts ... it's all good.

Did you get a PCIII/V fitted ... whats the low end torque like? and did you need to fit the O2 eliminator for the map you used?

The other thing I liked about the Scorpion I bought, was that the replacement cat is a lot smaller and hides underneath the bike. The look is very similar to the Yoshi with the heatshield etc.

I will drag her out the garage and take some pictures this weekend.

Get spending mate :) :thumb:

hmmm... that does look good, I think the match with the frame is really nice. The carbon hugger adds to it also.

Pic of mine from when she was new and the orginal exhaust looked good.
Maybe the carbon would look better given the repsol hugger and seat cowl ... decisions decisions!?

Bob, motomummy and biohazard are still cheaper than that ebay store, even if you pay international courier handling and import duty plus VAT. Got motomummy to £518 for carbon (they won't send it markered as a $100 gift).

Biohazard is £526, but they will "gift wrap it for christmas" and if it makes it through duty then its about £439!

Still waiting though got moorespeed trying to work a deal with yoshimura, cos they want to bundle on the pipe and PCV.

Bob does maths. Maybe wrong ?

Honda 08-09 CBR 1000RR Yoshimura R77 Slipon :: Yoshimura Slip Ons :: Yoshimura :: Exhausts :: MotoMummy Sportbike Accessories

500 $ + 30 P/P
UK GBP = 321.21

Plus VAT in uk @ 15% ? Only on the postage

((500/1.65)*1.15) + (30/1.65) = 366.67 GBP
Excluding any Import tax / Customs duty ?? 2.5%

Customs duty =0.025*(500/1.65)=7.57 GBP

Less than 380 quid delivered ???
At this price if my sums are right, ok I used 1.65 for USD/GBP, its there or there abouts, and if someone has some knowledge of whether the bloody thing is ok on a quiet (95dB) Trackday, then I can feel an Xmas gift from me to me coming on..............

One thing to note Bob, is that the R77 does not come with a removable baffle as standard, it is an extra £35.

Without the baffle I know it is too loud for a noise limit trackday. Not sure the decibel level with the baffle in mate.

I did see some figures online once, think it said 104db. That would be with the baffle out obviously.

An interesting point is George White offer the exhaust as an upgrade option on a new blade, along with rearsets, asv levers, r&g everything, screen and cowl. All that for £499 when you buy an new blade. Apparently they sell all the bits as accessories too, but the guy at the show said they would be about list price which we know is about £800.

Good deal if you are after a new one though. I wonder if they give you a baffle too, or whether they send you on your way with a non-road legal bike ?? Either that, or Yoshi are doing one which looks the same but has a cat hidden away ??

I think the slipon comes with the dB killer in the pack, certainly biohazard say it does and quite a few on-line stores say it's included, worth checking though.

Tom at biohazard told me it was an extra mate ?

Like you say, just worth double-checking for track days or Mr Plod !!

alright , im a bit confused when it comes to exhaust for bikes ... by "slip on" you mean just the muffler tip right ? anyway , i ask bc i was trying to figure out the difference to see what my bike came with a "slip on" or full exhaust , mine is the yoshimura carbon fiber :

Nice mate.

From that angle, it looks like the slip-on ( or muffler tip ) we are talking about. A full exhaust comes with the replacement headers too.

I am led to believe that the stock headers are pretty good anyway.
