Ah no the bike still dies, I must have pinched something. I remember messing with a cable that had a knob on the end of it. I needed to get it out of the way. Do you know what that is? I bought this bike used and don't have a manual.

That cable is the idle adjust. Try turning the knob if the idle is too low.

Yup, that's your idle adjustment. Turning it in (righty tighty) will open the throttle bodies and increase the idle, turning it out (or lefty loosey) will lower the idle.

If you "messed" with it too much, ie unscrewing it too much, it might unthread from the bodies, and then you'll have a helluva time getting back in.

Try turning it in and see if you idle goes up. Should be good to go.

Yep that worked! Thanks guys and I didn't move it very far to begin with. There is still some smoke coming put the pipe. Any idea on that one?

Or you could just swap the ecu for a non smog model and you wont have to worry about those sensors and servos. You can wire them wide open and enjoy. What you are suggesting sounds quite involved vs replacing the ecu. 2 plugs!
