I got a 2007 CBR1000rr Red/Black last fall with zero miles on it, a sweet ride from the dealer to my garage for the winter. Last night I caught my cover on the windshield and cracked the top fairing, not all the way through but enough that I am worried about it. Is this common? Is it repairable? It looks bad and I am sure will get worse when I ride it, so I am looking to replace it.
My question is would the New England cold cause this to happen? I didnt bend it that far and it cracked like peanut brittle. I think its a flaw with Honda and not something I did. Cause if I hit a bump on that thing I am thinking that it would shatter all over the road. Not to mention the cheep screws that are in the windshild snapped too.
So... anyone know a good place to get a new fairing?
