I'm looking for wiring diagram for the 1992 European model (RRN). It's the very first blade model.

PS. I will soon check out if some of the already posted ones fits.

Now I can confirm that the 93-94 wiring diagram fits just fine. There are only some minor differences, but otherwise all the connections and colors are the same.

i have a question. i got a 97 CBR 900. i need to connect some wires for the tail lites and license plate lite, and i have the orange, blue, and brown wires, but i only have two green wires. should i be concerned about that? and how do i know which green wire goes with which colored wire? they're all bunched up together...

Both green wires are "ground" so it doesn't matter whitch green wire you use with the othe colored wires. Originally it's ment that one ise for the tail light and other one for license plate light. If you are installing an aftermarket tail light that requires separate ground wires for tail and break lights then you just have to "split" one of the green wires.

PS. If the green wires have different diameters then use the thinner one for license plate light.

oh yeah renebe, i got mixed up. the tail lites are already installed; it's the REAR BLINKERS and the license plate lite that i have to put in. don't i need three ground wires to do all that?

Yes, you do. My previous answer is correct for blinkers too. You just have to split one of the ground wires (green) to get it working (make 1 wire into 2). Something like this:

Then you will have blue, orange and borwn wires + 3 green wires.

I did some work on a U.S. spec '94 CBR900 recently and I pulled a copy of the wiring diagram off this site. It wasn't too readable, so I cleaned it up in Photoshop and I'm reposting it for everyone's benefit.

have a 96 european model. someone before me made a naked bike of it. so right now, i have a lot of empty plugs all over the bike. and not a original steercontrol on the left. i bought a universal. but now i really dont now what is what. its spagetti!

sorry for the bad english.

is there a diagram somewhere for my 96 dutch bike? pics of a real wiring thing so i can compare some plugs, or now that the big one has to do something with this or that......

does anyone can help me with a question regarding the ignition control module please. it's about the pink wire that it is present for the 98-99 models but doesn't show up on 96-97 models. what's the purpose of that wire ?? i tried to measure any voltage on that wire but with the ignition ON but nothing?! why i'm asking? i've swapped a 99 engine on my 97 fireblade and fires up and runs good with the old ICM but when i've swapped the 99 ICM too i doesn't start up anymore..and the only wiring difference is the pink wire...

Hey guy's I'm new to the forum, and I need some info and it looks like you guys are the ones to ask. It's about the 5 wires that go into the voltage regulator. When I got my bike the plug that goes into the regulator was all fried, I tried to keep them in order when I cut the burned plug off, but could have mixed them up. What order or where do they plug into the regulator? I'm trying to get ready for a trip at the end of the month, but don't know if I can make it. PLEASE HELP. Thanks guys.

Dudes, i think the 99 diagram works on the european model, i didn't have the time to check it, but i'm preety sure.

Anyway thanks a lot for the info, it really helped me.
